DETAILS OF FACILITIES AVAILABLE FOR OBTAINING INFORMATION UNDER RIGHT TO INFORMATION ACT 2005:  
The details of information regarding the works being carried out by the department is displayed at the work site on boards indicating the name of the scheme/work, cost of the work, date of start and stipulated date of completion of work, name of the executing agency and the details of telephone number of  Executive Engineer incharge. An intimation regarding award/start of work is also normally sent to the area MLA indicating all the above details with the request to inspect the work and to inform the department about shortcomings or draw-back, if noticed, during inspection. An information about the department, its functions and duties in the form of a brochure is available with the Chief Engineer (I&F) who has been designated as the  First Appellate Authority under Right to Information Act 2005 for seeking any information in respect of Irrigation & Flood Control Department.

PROCEDURE :-

  1. Necessary form 'A' (Download)for seeking the information may be obtained from the office of the COMPETENT AUTHORITY.
  2. Request fee of Rs. 10 for seeking information to be deposited with the cashier, Office of Chief Engineer (I&FC), L.M. Bund Office Complex, Shastri Nagar, Delhi-110031
  3. Please deposit form 'A'  with the receipt of Rs.10 in original and obtain acknowledgment receipt duly signed.
  4. Normally the information will be supplied within thirty days of the receipt of the application.
  5. The normal time- frame for issue of information or registry the same is 30 days.
  6. An appeal may be preferred within 30 days from the expiry of the date on which the information was to be received or from the date of such a decision, the first appeal is to be filed with the Chief Engineer (I&F), Zone-I in his office at L.M. Bund Office Complex, Shastri Nagar, Delhi-110031.
  7. In case the appellant is not satisfied with the decision of the Chief Engineer Zone-I/First Appellate Authority, he can file an appeal in the office of the Central Information Commission with in 90 days.
